Guess what today is?

If you guessed the day that the latest housing market statistics from the Metropolitan Board of Indianapolis Realtors (MIBOR) is released, then you would be correct.

Surprising literally no one, the data indicates a strong (like, Incredible Hulk-style strong) seller's market.

Don't believe me? See for yourself:

Active Inventory is down almost 60% from this time a year ago in the Indy Metro Area

Active inventory is down almost 60% from this time a year ago. Days on Market has decreased nearly 45%, and the absorption rate is at 0.7, down over 62% from last year.

When this will end is anyone's guess, but one thing is for certain: this won't go on forever.

If you have a home to sell, NOW. IS. THE. TIME.

Especially if you want to upgrade into new construction.

Especially new construction.

(Lookin' at you, Westfield, Carmel, Fishers and Noblesville.)

With new construction, you just pick out your floorplan, put down a deposit and wait for them to build it (90 to 180 days on average).

Best part? You won't have to get into a bidding war for an existing home built in 1978 and ain't been cleaned since.

Does the idea of building intrigue you?

If so, let's start the conversation

p.s. remember, I can run the stat reports to your specific area. Let me know if you would like your own personalized report.

p.p.s. Was going to make another reference to superheroes, villans and our housing market...but all I really want to know is where Hela got that outfit. Do Hela and Maleficent shop at the same stores? So many questions. ;)
